Child & Adult Education
Education is a cornerstone of our community. At Rooipad, we provide a crèche for children from 3 months to 6 years, after-school care, and homework support with access to computer facilities. During the December holidays, children aged 7–18 enjoy a vibrant holiday program filled with sports and activities.
Sport & Fitness
Sport unites us. Soccer and netball are at the heart of our community, celebrated each year in a farm-wide tournament at the Rooipad sports grounds. In addition, our upgraded gym facilities (renovated in 2020) give workers the opportunity to stay active and healthy year-round.
Choir Competition
Every year, choirs from our farms gather for a spirited competition. Beyond the music, singing together strengthens unity, discipline, and focus. These performances create lasting memories and highlight the joy of shared culture.
Committees & Team Building
Our dedicated committees, spread across the farms, serve as a vital link between workers and management. Once a year, we host a team-building day to recognize their commitment, encourage collaboration, and celebrate the people who make our farms stronger together.
Aganang Needlework Project
Launched in 2015, the Aganang Needlework Project empowers women with skills to support themselves and create additional income. What began as selling products to colleagues has grown into a thriving initiative reaching customers across South Africa. A second project at Tierkop, started in 2020, continues to expand this vision of empowerment and independence.
